About Star of Wealth (Fu Xing)

  • The star of Fu (福), Fuxing 福星, refers to the planet Jupiter which is one of the most auspicious planets!
  • He is usually depicted in a scholar’s dress, holding a scroll inscribed with the word “Fu”, which means blessings.
  • In this image, he is holding a scroll that says “Gong Xi Fa Chai”, which means “Congratulations! Your Wealth Luck has arrived!”
  • He is usually surrounded by children and commonly referred to as the Chaishen, the “God of Wealth”
